Chief Executive Officer
Olivier Calloud, a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holder of an MBA from INSEAD, embarked on his career at Arthur Andersen and later joined Lombard Odier. In 2005, he assumed the role of COO at Frank Galland. In 2011, he was appointed the CEO of Piguet Galland following the merger. In this capacity, he leads the Executive Committee but also oversees and executes the bank's strategy.
Head of Private Banking
Selman Bicaco Urrutia, an MBA graduate from IESE Business School, initiated his career at Crédit Suisse in Geneva and later joined Merrill Lynch in London. After seven years as Director of the Geneva site at Banque CIC, he became Director of Private Clients and a member of the Executive Committee at Piguet Galland in 2021. In this role, he oversees the bank's strategic and commercial growth.
Chief Risk Officer
Carine Casteu, a graduate of the University of Paris-Dauphine with a background in accounting and finance and a DAS in resilience and organizational health from HEG, launched her career at PWC. Following 12 years with the HSBC Group, she joined Piguet Galland in 2014 as the Head of Compliance and Central Register. In 2016, her role expanded to include Risk Management and Legal Department responsibilities. In this capacity, she was appointed Chief Risk Officer and became a member of the Executive Committee.
Chief Operating Officer
Michèle Luyet, a graduate of HEC Lausanne, is also a chartered accountant and auditor accredited by FINMA. With 25 years of experience in consulting, finance, and banking both in Switzerland and abroad, she has been a member of the Piguet Galland Executive Committee since 2012, serving as COO/CFO. In this role, she oversees the Bank's operational and IT strategies and supervises financial management and credit activities.
Chief Investment Officer
Daniel Varela graduated from the University of Geneva with a degree in Business Administration, with a major in Finance. He commenced his career in 1989 as a bond manager. In 1999, he joined Banque Piguet & Cie as Head of Institutional Management, where he was also responsible for overseeing the bank's bond analysis and management. In 2011, he assumed the roles of Head of Investment Strategy and Head of the Investment Department at Piguet Galland. Finally, in January 2012, he was appointed Chief Investment Officer and became a Piguet Galland Executive Committee member.
