Piguet Galland

Alpine skiing is a sport where speed, precision, and mental strength play a crucial role. Few athletes embody these qualities as well as Arnaud Boisset, a rising Swiss professional skier. With a World Cup podium finish and an impressive Super-G ranking, he is undoubtedly one of the promising talents on the circuit.
We had the opportunity to chat with him about his career, handling pressure, and his partnership with Piguet Galland.
A journey driven by passion and competition
What motivated you to pursue competitive skiing?
"I’ve always had a competitive spirit. From a young age, skiing became the perfect way to channel my energy and satisfy my thirst for freedom. On the slopes, I could go as fast as I wanted and carve my turns my own way, without any limits."
Originally from Martigny, Arnaud followed a rigorous path, combining sports training with academic education. After climbing through the ranks of the Ski-Valais structures and the National Performance Centre West (NLZ), he joined Swiss-Ski in 2017. Since then, he has continued to progress, reaching the top of the global Super-G scene.
A steel mindset to handle pressure
How do you manage pressure before a big race?
"If you can't handle pressure, it's better not to be a high-level athlete (laughs...). Over time, you learn to manage it and even use it to your advantage. A certain level of pressure can be beneficial: personally, I often perform better when I’m backed into a corner. The real problem is when it becomes uncontrollable and paralyzes performance. That's why mental preparation is essential: learning to put things into perspective, accept the worst-case scenario, and transform that pressure into a driving force rather than an obstacle."
Competitive skiing is a sport where every detail matters, where every fraction of a second can make a difference. A fall, a wrong trajectory, a missed turn... so many elements can impact an entire season. Yet, as Arnaud points out, managing pressure is part of the game.
A Partnership with purpose: Arnaud Boisset & Piguet Galland
Why does this partnership with Piguet Galland make sense for you?
"The partnership with Piguet Galland began at the end of my bachelor's degree in finance. After gaining some initial experience in the field, I wanted to explore a larger and more experienced structure. Over time, our collaboration evolved with my sports career to combine the synergies of my elite sports experience and my banking knowledge. I'm delighted to stay connected to the professional world while bringing a unique perspective that few managers possess. In my eyes, it's the perfect example of a win-win partnership."
This partnership illustrates the complementarity between sporting demands and professional excellence. At Piguet Galland, we believe that financial management is built on values similar to those of high-level sports: anticipation, rigour, and performance.
Looking ahead to Crans-Montana and Kvitfjell
How are you preparing for the upcoming races?
"On the sporting front, my start to the season was more challenging than expected, with falls at Beaver Creek and Kitzbühel. But I’ve done everything to get back to my best for the Crans-Montana races, which have a special feel for me—almost like racing at home. I hope to turn this progress into competition success, but whatever happens, I’m mainly looking forward to sharing these moments with the Valaisan public."
February will be a crucial month for Arnaud, with two major events in Switzerland and another in Norway in March:
📅 22 February 2025 – Crans-Montana Downhill
📅 23 February 2025 – Crans-Montana Super-G
📅 8 & 9 March 2025 – Downhill & Super-G in Kvitfjell (Norway)
We wish him all the best for these upcoming races and look forward to seeing him shine in Swiss colours!
