What inspired you to take up padel?
"Since I was a child, I’ve always had a tennis racket in my hands, competing at the highest Swiss junior level until I was 17. When my tennis journey came to an end, padel offered me a new opportunity to relive those unique emotions of competition, with the added excitement of playing doubles—a discipline that has always thrilled me."
It was this passion for racket sports and competition that led Kilian to fully embrace padel. His transition to the sport was marked by intensive training and a rapid rise through the Swiss and international rankings.
A strong mindset for high-level performance
How do you handle pressure before a major competition?
"Everyone has their own way of preparing before a match. For me, listening to epic music while going through my warm-up routine helps me get into the zone. Recently, I’ve also started working with a mental coach, which has been a great help, especially in managing the intense emotions before stepping onto the court."

How are you preparing for your upcoming challenges?
"The season has just begun and promises to be intense, with a packed schedule including competitions in Switzerland, the international circuit, and the European Championships with the Swiss team. Right now, I’m focusing primarily on my physical preparation to ensure top performance on the court and prevent injuries. Every month, I travel to Spain, where the best players in the world train, to put myself in the best possible conditions."
