Piguet Galland is proud to announce that, for the second consecutive year, it has been elected “Best Private Bank Switzerland” by the professional magazine “International Banker”.
International Banker is a quarterly magazine published in England and distributed in 80 countries. The magazine awards several prizes each year.
This year, the jury was impressed by the excellent financial results of the Bank, whose net profit almost tripled in 2021. At the same time, assets under management soared by 16% to approximately 7 billion Swiss francs. This performance can be explained, among other things, by the success of the strategy of refocusing on the Swiss market, which is now proving to be fully fruitful.
Four other essential criteria convinced the jury. Firstly, it appreciated the continual development of the Piguet Galland teams, notably those dedicated to solutions and investment advice, the impact of which is directly reflected in the quality of monitoring and in the services dedicated to clients.
The jury also praised the cloud migration of the communication tools for all employees of Piguet Galland; in the future this will enable increased security and efficiency of the bank and above all optimal service for its clients.
Another strength noted by the jury is the major initiative aimed at reinforcing the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of various key aspects of the organisation. Particular care has been taken to adapt the Bank’s governance, with attention to the training and well-being of employees, as well as the integration of socially responsible investment criteria in the investment approach for clients.
Finally, in terms of pay equity, the jury declared itself very sensitive to the “Fair-ON-Pay+” certification awarded to the Bank, showing a pay gap of less than 1% between men and women within the company.
“Winning this “Best Private Bank Switzerland” award for the second consecutive year is a great achievement rewarding the efforts made by all of the Bank’s teams. A magnificent dynamic is in place and it is very gratifying that it is recognised in this way. I would also particularly like to thank our clients for the trust they place in us”, stated Olivier Calloud, Managing Director of Piguet Galland.
The nomination process for this Best Swiss Private Bank award is initiated by the magazine’s readers who are invited to identify the “most deserving” financial institutions with which they have a relationship. A jury elects the winner on the basis of the quantitative and qualitative elements provided by the nominated banks. The Banking Awards recognise players in the finance industry who have excelled in providing service to their clients, while maintaining consistently high levels of regulatory compliance. The various awards take into account the criteria of liquidity growth and profitability, but also topics such as product innovation, use of information technology, corporate governance, transparency and sustainability.
